The traffic in Bali is ruled by common sense. You have to give way to everything in front of you, no matter if this is a vehicle you intend to overtake which suddenly turns into your lane or some body pulling out from a sideroad. Also you have to give away to anything bigger than you, bikes especially are in a very weak position. Beware of the unexpected - animals crossing, processions crowding the road or invisible holes coverred by water.
